Goosander by Edmund Fellowes

A beautifully intimate moment has been captured by Edmund Fellowes in this image of a female Goosander. As the chaos of raging water envelops the bird, the eye-to-eye contact between subject and photographer has been caught with aplomb. Not only is this a very striking image for its overall impact, but it is well exposed and brilliantly sharp, with every water droplet and bubble frozen still.
