Site Details
Situated in the River Stour Valley, northeast of Canterbury. Grove Ferry is the northeast end of the reserve near the Grove Ferry Pub. There is separate road access off the A28, with parking opposite the entrance and the Grove Ferry toilets operate on the RADAR key scheme. The Reserve in total has 241 hectares of alluvial marshland; the Grove Ferry end of the Reserve is primarily flooded river meadows and reedbeds, with a well-located viewing ramp and Turf Fields Hide.

Leave Canterbury on the A28 heading northeast in the direction of Margate/Ramsgate. Take the right turn at Upstreet signposted to Grove Ferry, and follow the country road until you cross the River Stour and railway and pass the Grove Ferry pub. The car park is adjacent to the pub on your left, whilst the Grove Ferry end of the Stodmarsh NNR is on your right, with a farm gate style entrance to the trail.Access
Access is very good, with well managed pathway/trails and a wheelchair-friendly hide.Parking

Car park and toilets at the Grove Ferry entrance car park, leaflet and map dispenser, trail map of reserve. One hide at this end of the reserve and viewing ramp.Key Areas / Routes
The whole reserve is great. At this the Grove Ferry end, view Feasts Lake and Rogers Lake from the superbly placed viewing ramp. Walk southeast along the trail to view Burnhams Lake and the adjacent flooded fields.Site Photographs
