Police investigate following mysterious Osprey death
Police have launched an investigation after the remains of an Osprey were found near a nest site in Scotland.
The bird was found dead in Perth and Kinross, where it was believed to have been nesting at Loch of the Lowes near Dunkeld.
Officers are working with partner agencies to establish the full circumstances and the force said inquiries are at an early stage. Furthermore, they stressed that it is not yet clear whether there has been any criminality involved.

Police appeal
Inspector James Longden said it was illegal to kill any protected species, adding: "Information from the local community could prove vital and it is important we speak to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area, or who may know something which could assist our investigation."
