- I was fortunate enough to be the one who managed to get a few shots of this bird, during it's very brief visit to Essex, in May this year. This shot was taken when it sat on the (far) end of a long wooden groyne, over the sea. A long way out, but at least you can get to see the true colours of the bird, in the right light.
