A small reservoir (also sometimes referred to as Walton Reservoir) with extensive margins; used by fishermen. Surrounded by promising-looking woodland and scrub habitat.

Near Higher Walton off A56 Chester Road between Junction 11 of the M56 and Warrington; also accessible from Junction 10 via Hatton (follow signs for Walton then turn right into Park Lane).

Access

Public roads and permitted paths give access to all sides of the reservoir.

Parking

There is a small car park on Park Lane just to the west of the reservoir at SJ596843.
