Site Details

A tidal estuary to the south of the N86, a few kilometres east of Dingle harbour. The estuary can hold decent numbers of waders, particularly in autumn, although tidal state changes rapidly here due to the shallow aspect. As a result, timing a visit in conjunction with a rising tide can prove difficult.

Directions

The estuary can be accessed by taking the minor road southwest off the N86 at Q49950098, which runs down to the side of the estuary. Note that the road often becomes partially submerged at high tide, so ensure that you park sensibly.
